Re-Orient is a series of booklets dissecting Chop Suey fonts.
A Chop Suey font is characterized by thick, wedge-like strokes meant to imitate the brush strokes of Chinese calligraphy. In three booklets, this project dissects the past, present, and future of Chop Suey typefaces. Where did they come from? What can we learn from them? Re-Orient encourages readers to change the way they view these innocuous typefaces.
